Bio
I obtained my Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Physics from Yachay Tech University in Ecuador. During my studies, I worked with the CompNano research group at Yachay Tech, led by Professor Henry Pinto, where I gained expertise in Density Functional Theory (DFT), and successfully completed my thesis research on graphene-based superlattices structures. Additionally, before my graduation, I had the opportunity to do three diferent internships over the course of a year at prestigious institutions: the University of Vienna, the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), and Aalto University.
Research Interests
- My research interests lie in ab initio calculations, including the simulation of 2D materials, catalyst design, and the integration of machine learning methods in this field.
